They will eat flakes and algea wafers. |
| Social Behaviour: |
Mild-mannered lake Malawi cichlid. Best if kept in groups of six or more. They are territorial and get more aggressive if kept in a small tank. |

| Up Keep: |
Tank should be roomy with plenty of rocks and caves for the fish to hide in. |
| Breeding: |
Introduce male to a tank with several females. Male will chase females till spawning occures. Both male and female can be kept together while brooding. Male should be removed if he gets too aggressive. |

A small, hardy cichlid from lake Malawi. Good for a first
Malawi cichlid. Suggest keeping six or more in a tank that
is at least 50 gallons in size. |
