Sex: The male is thinner with brighter coloration.
Feeding: Fish will accept flakes and small live foods.
Social Behaviour: Very active, peaceful fish that should be kept in schools of 8 or more.


Up Keep: Keep plenty of plants around the edges of the aquarium and leave an open space for swimming. Use floating plants to dim the aquarium light.
Breeding: Very difficult to breed. Use soft acid water at a temperature between 77 and 80 degrees. Place broadleaved plants in the tank. After spawning the parents should be removed.
Comments: These Rasboras are excellent community fish. They mix well with all other Rasboras. Try keeping them with Harlequin Rasboras.
