Rummynose Tetra

Rummynose Tetra
Hemigrammus Rhodostomus

Length: 2.0"
Sex: Females tend to have a much fuller body than males.
Feeding: They like a variety of flakes as well as live foods such as bloodworms and tubifex worms.
Social Behaviour: A peaceful fish that will do best when kept in shoals of 10 or more.

Up Keep: They do best with plenty of fine leafed plants in the tank and when added after the tank has been cycled to where the bacteria levels in the filtration system are adequate.
Breeding: Will pair up and breed if tank conditions are optimal. They are egg eaters and will try to eat the eggs right after they are fertilized.
Comments: An excellent community fish. Gets its name from its bright red nose. Make sure your tank is cycled before you add these fish to the tank.
