Likes flakes and freeze-dried foods. |
| Social Behaviour: |
Peaceful, a good community fish. Females will eat the fry. Males may have little fights with each other. |

Prefers plenty of plants and some open areas for swimming. |
| Breeding: |
Males will spawn with little effort. Female can have up to 80 fry which she will try to eat unless they are sepperated from her using a breeding box. |
| Comments: |
Another good hardy fish. Great for starting a first
aquarium. Keep only one male and several females as males
will have little fights with each other. |
