Territorial but mild mannered spicies of Lake Malawi cichlid. |

Avoid use of undergravel filter as they love to dig. Provide tunnels and caves as swimming passageways. |
| Breeding: |
Female will find a secluded area for brooding. Make sure there is plenty of caves for the female to choose from. Fry will eat baby brine shrimp and crushed flakes. |
