The Black Neon Tetra is finicky about water conditions and prefers a pH of 5.5-7.5 and a hardness of 6 dGH. Recommed subdued lighting and well circulated water. |
| Breeding: |
Not difficult to breed. They will happily mate if they are fed well and water conditions are kept to their liking. |

A popular schooling fish. Fairly easy to keep. These fish are excellent additions to a community tank. I suggest keeping 8 or more. Make sure the tank is fully cycled before adding these fish to the tank. |
