Black Phantom Tetra

Black Phantom Tetra
Megalamphodus Megalopterus

Length: 1.75"
Sex: The male has a larger dorsal fin and is not as brightly colored.
Feeding: They will accept flake foods.
Social Behaviour: A peaceful fish that will live in schools or in pairs.

Up Keep: Very easy to keep and is a good fish for the first time aquarist. Not very picky about tank setup but adding a few floating plants is a good idea
Breeding: Breeding can be done by lowering the Ph to 5.5-6.0 and with a water hardness below 4 KH. Dimming the lights is also recommended to encourage the courtship ritual.
Comments: Black Phantom Tetras are excellent community fish and make great fish for the first time aquarist. I recommend them for any community tank.
