Community Fish

Aquarium fish which are considered Community Fish

Community fish are generally peaceful and do well when sharing a tank. They often make great fish for the beginning aquarist. These usually are shoaling fish and do best when kept with several more of their own type of fish. A lot of community fish are very hardy and are good for starting a tank up. Some popular ones in this category are various livebearers like the Molly, Platy, and Guppy. Others include various labyrinth fish, barbs, and the ever-popular Neon Tetra.
